Halo: The Master Chief Collection was recently announced for PC together with the news that Halo: Reach would also be launched for the collection (both for PC and Xbox One too), but 343 Industries has a somewhat different approach for the PC launch. Rather than releasing all games at once, they will be dropping one game at the time in chronological order in terms of the narrative.

This has led many to wonder if it will take years to play the entire collection, which has already been out for Xbox One since 2014. Fortunately, Splash Damage - who's handling the Master Chief Collection for PC - put all those worries to rest yesterday in a newsletter:

"The cat is out of the bag. We're incredibly proud to be working closely with Microsoft once more, this time on bringing Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC."

"Halo sits alongside Gears as one of the gaming's biggest franchises, and we're thrilled to be the only UK studio where you can work on both."

"Halo: Reach is coming first, with the rest of the titles scheduled throughout the year."

So there we have it. Since all games will be released this year and there are six Halo games in the collection - we will likely have something like one game per month on average to look forward to.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"It has aged exceptionally well, a fact that speaks to Bungie's original quality as well as the restorative nip and tuck overseen by 343 Industries."
