Developer Feral Interactive has revealed that Alien: Isolation will finally be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on December 5, bringing the original story from Creative Assembly and Sega to a new audience who can play it at home or on the go.

You play as Ellen Ripley's daughter Amanda, 15 years after the original film, trying to find out what happened to her mother. You need to explore the Sevastopol space station to get the answers you need, and the Xenomorph will prove a problem as you creep through the hallways.

The Switch version includes gyroscopic aiming and HD rumble, as well as all of the DLC released for the game previously.

Alien: Isolation is available to pre-order now for £29.99 ($34.99 USD, €34.99, ¥4400), and you can check out the brand new trailer to see the horror for yourself.

Will the Switch version be your first time playing?

REVIEW. Written by Gillen McAllister

"Only Rocksteady's Arkham series matches its quality in licence representation, though Isolation arguably betters Arkham for retaining the purity of its vision."
