Aion has gone free-to-play

Yesterday the popular MMO Aion went free-to-play, simultaneously in English, French and German.

"The response we received from the beta players on our free-to-play model was fantastic," said Volker Boenigk, Executive Product Director and Andreas Günter, Product Director for AION. "In the upcoming months our focus will be on working on update 3.0, which we will be launching in Europe in the spring".
