The council was created in 2017 and has been "integral" to the development of AoE IV.

We were able to check out the first new part of the AoE series since Age of Empires III from 2005.

We'll get gameplay and reveals from both Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV.

Microsoft's Shannon Loftis and Adam Isgreen both said that PC was the main focus, but we may still see it on consoles.

In-app purchases also won't feature in the new strategy game, which had a proper reveal during X019 last week.

The strategy series is coming back, and we get a good look at the game's triumphant return to the battlefield.
