Age of Empires: Definitive Edition

The sales figures for popular strategy franchise Age of Empires has apparently sold quite well over the years, as revealed be co-creator Brian Sullivan.

After celebrating Age of Empires: Definitive Edition's one-year anniversary, we found out that we have exciting news on the way for the RTS series.

The RTS classic is back, and we're taking a closer look.

It's Xbox Live that's the issue.

But we'll get to try the multiplayer beta before then.

We won't get to play a prettier version of the classic next week after all.

The Definitive Edition will improve much but still offer that "mess of barbarians" rather than formations.
