Afro Samurai 2 will "keep true to the manga"

During E3 we had another chance to talk to Versus Evil's Lance James about the ongoing development of Afro Samurai 2: Kuma's Revenge.

Obviously, one of the most important things with a game like this is staying true to the original vision of the franchise.

"A big part of that is working with Redacted Studios - they're the original developer of the game - but that's also working with Gonzo, working with the full Afro Samurai team to keep it true to the manga, true to the Afro Samurai experience," James told us.

"The manga art that we're putting into the game is also there to help keep that experience more to what fans of the franchise expect and want."

Afro Samurai 2 is set to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and it's to be released episodically, with the first coming "soon".
