Microsoft has owned Activision Blizzard for less than than two weeks, but a recent study from CivicScience implies that it might already benefit Game Pass as the interest of getting it has increased, while there are also less skeptics now.

The findings are based on two American surveys aimed towards adults which asked them how likely they are "to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass services now that Activision Blizzard games will soon be included". The analyst Sara Shriber from CivicScience writes:

"Currently, 8% of polled respondents are 'very likely' to sign up for Xbox Game Pass, and 9% are 'somewhat likely' to subscribe now that Activision Blizzard games will be included - totaling 17% of potential new subscribers (rebased to exclude current subscribers).

This compares to 5% 'very likely' and 7% 'somewhat likely' to subscribe in January 2022."

And this is not all the good news for Microsoft, as people who are not at all likely to become Game Pass customers have decreased from 88% in 2022 compared to 83% in 2023. The study also shows that a lot of people are playing Activision Blizzard games frequently without subscribing, which is potentially seen as good news for the subscription service as well.

Head over to the link above, which includes plenty of interesting details that might give us some indication of the future for Game Pass as Activision Blizzard slowly will get merged into the system.
