AbleGamers Charity hosting Steel City Showdown this weekend

This will see competitors face off in Super Smash Bros., NBA 2K19, and NHL19, with money going towards the charity.

The AbleGamers Charity, dedicated to helping those with disabilities via gaming, has announced a new partnership with Point Park University, Cleveland Cavaliers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Pittsburgh Knights to bring the Steel City Showdown esports tournament to Pittsburgh on May 11.

This will take place at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and features competitions in Super Smash Bros., NBA 2K19, and NHL19. There is $1,500 USD in cash prizes to be won per title, and a portion of the ticket sales will go towards helping the AbleGamers Charity.

Competitor fees are $10 for Super Smash Bros., upping to $20 for the other two titles, with spectator tickets being $5. For more details on the rulesets, make sure to check this link, and bear in mind the box office opens at 11:00 local time, with doors opening an hour later.
