Xbox Marketing Executive Aaron Greenberg was at Gamescom 2016 and we got the chance to catch up with him. We talked to him about the Xbox One S and how it has been received.

"Our focus is to make sure we're delivering high quality products", he said. "Recently the Xbox One S has been a huge success, we know that's been nearly sold out around the world, even in Sweden [where the reporter resides] we know it's the same situation, so it's great to see the reaction, the consumer's responding to what we're doing with hardware. We're focussing on the business right now and delivering on what we've been talking about at shows like E3."

We also asked about the reasoning for releasing a 2TB version of the Xbox One S before other versions. "We definitely expect the 1TB and the 500GB to be the top selling from a volume standpoint starting at 299 Euros and we think that's a great value. We announced new FIFA bundles here at the show, FIFA 17 with EA Access allowing people to play those games early, we think is going to be a huge hit".

"The thing with the 2TB was that we wanted to create a really special launch edition. 2TB's not a traditional size so we made it extra special, large hard drive and we did that just for the launch as a special edition that we knew the most early adopters would want, but long-term as we go into holiday we expect most of that volume to centre around the 500GB and the 1TB. With that said we do have a special Gears of War 2TB edition as well and so those will come in and when it's sold out we'll be done and the 500GB and 1TB will stay as sort of evergreen bundles".
