Slowly but surely CD Projekt Red is giving us more details on their anticipated upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077. At E3 this year we got the news Keanu Reeves would be appearing in the game as Johnny Silverhand, for example, and since then we've received a deep dive video giving us an insight into how the game will play.

Now even more details have arrived, as Reddit user shavod claims to have been at a community polish meeting in Warsaw recently, sharing a ton of news on the game, as reported by DSOGaming.

Regarding the narrative, the report claims we will "of course" be allowed to burn the city down, as Silverhand told us at E3, and the main story will be a little shorter than The Witcher 3, albeit with a lot more replayability. As expected, side missions and extra content will make your journey longer as well.

With regards to playing after the ending, this is a surprise for players to see, and we also get the interesting tidbit that waiting too long to respond in a conversation can have more drastic consequences than just an annoyed comment.

Loot was another notable talking point, as CDPR wants to keep the balance between useful and useless, with the latter perhaps being more useful elsewhere in the world or for other NPCs.

With side quests in Cyberpunk 2077, the branches of story grow to have more branches, and they're often intertwined, impacting other quests and the main story more than we saw in The Witcher 3, hence why there's so much replayability.

When exploring, your choices will also shape how much of certain areas you can explore, although most should be available in some capacity at all times, and V's apartment will change based on decisions as well. We don't know if we can customise the car we drive around in though, as CDPR declined to speak on the matter, but we know that they're hoping to make driving physics pretty realistic.

Nothing can be promised regarding difficulty settings either, as the developer would like to include more differences than just tougher enemies, although that's hard given the game's size.

Players can restore health using food and the drug inhaler as well, which can heal instantly or gradually, and your cyberware regenerates health as well.

The cycle between day and night will impact the game a lot too, with areas being less guarded at certain times and story scenes changing as well. On top of that, dynamic weather will change the world in a similar way, like making people raise umbrellas. You'll also be told if you get to the edge of the world as well, with the game turning you back, and committing small crimes won't see the police intervene. They'll only do that with more extreme crimes.

When it comes to crafting, almost all usable items can be made, except for clothes and cyberware, although these can be modified elsewhere. CDPR also kept quiet about the possibility of a cyberpet.

We can expect a car racing minigame too, except this will be more than just that, as it'll have a cyberpunk touch to it, and around three-quarters of the world will be destructible, with all playstyles valid as you go through.

CD Projekt Red has prepared a unique set of animations for every major character, including movement and combat, and shavod was told about a unique solution for skipping cutscenes and dialogue, although they didn't say more than that.

Speaking of animations, motion capture was used for sex scenes too, with CDPR saying that they believe their amount should satisfy all.

Cyberware in the game will require ripperdoc services to get it into your character, but some mods can be done on the spot, like attaching Mantis Blades, for example. We also hear about the Sandevistan upgrade, letting us move fast as the world moves slower. As we begin, we get a basic set of augments, and to understand other languages in the city you'll need more upgrades.

CDPR also says they want to add modding to the game, but that's not been decided yet, and we'll hear more about the music soon, and whether the old version of 'Chippin In' will be pon the soundtrack.

Lastly, the diversity of character models should be a lot greater than that of the NPCs in The Witcher 3, but some compromises might have to be made due to memory limitations.

That's a lot of information to take in, but it helps fill in some of the details we didn't know before about the RPG, which looks to be very ambitious in terms of its size and the features within.

What's the highlight here?
