A 'The Walking Dead' film in the works, Gurira leaving the series
At the San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that the hugely successful franchise The Walking Dead is getting an addition in form of a film focusing on Rick Grimes.
The San Diego Comic-Con brought plenty of news regarding the successful 'The Walking Dead' franchise, across various different types of media. While season 10 will see Thora Birch and Kevin Carroll join the cast, the series is also facing a major blow as fan-favourite actress Danai Gurira who portrays Michonne will be leaving the show after the tenth season concludes. The season is set to air on October 6 of this year.
Apart from this information, trailers for both the mid-season premiere of Fear The Walking Dead and the upcoming Rick Grimes spin-off movie (a film for the big screen, apparently) were shown. You can check the trailers for all three of the Walking Dead announcements below.
