One of the biggest milestones in any game's development is the day that it 'goes gold' and production is considered complete, and that's what Asobo Studio will be celebrating today after publisher Focus Home Interactive confirmed that the studio's next title, A Plague Tale: Innocence, is ready for public consumption ahead of its planned launch on May 14, 2019.

This plague-riddled adventure stars a pair of siblings on the run from infested rats and angry Inquisition soldiers, all set against the historical backdrop of 14th century Europe. We recently played the game and you can read our impressions right here, and if you want to know more about the story of this infectious title before it spreads across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, check out the trailer below.

"There are areas where Asobo can look to make improvements in the future, but the studio has delivered an engaging adventure that we thoroughly enjoyed despite its flaws."
