Popular sandbox physics game Garry's Mod is getting a sequel, creator Garry Newman has confirmed. The original launched back in 2004, initially as a Half-Life 2 mod, before being released as a standalone game. Since then it has proved enduringly popular.
Speaking with PCGamesN, Newman was asked whether the studio had ever considered raising the price of the game, to which he replied:
"We wouldn't raise the price now, I mean we're kind of working on a sequel, so it'd be stupid to the raise the price, really. It's early days. We're looking at having more VR stuff in it—that's the big point of it. And it won't be called Garry's Mod 2."
With Newman and Facepunch Studios already working hard on survival sandbox Rust, we're not expecting to see or hear much about the physics-based sequel in the near future, but it's good to know that it's in the works.
