8 million Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare players

EA and PopCap Games have released some new statistics for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare. They have now reached over 8 million players (not sales, mind you), with a combined 1.4 billion played games. That's quite a lot of course, and we still play it every now and then at the office. To celebrate this, all Garden Warfare players will get 80,000 coins automatically added to their accounts.

Together with this announcement, they also released an infographic that shows how we've all played the game. The Peashooter on the plant side and the Foot Soldier on the zombies side were clearly mot popular. Below that is the latest trailer for the upcoming Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. Most of your unlocked characters will be usable in the sequel as well, so those coins will actually sort of impact the sequel as well.
