The transition from physical games to digital is moving faster every year. Activision has just announced that a whopping 73% of their revenue last quarter came from digital sales, according to Games Industry.
In Activision's case, they get massive help in the digital area from Blizzard (and the popylar Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft in particular), but Take-Two also had stunning numbers from digital sales to share with 64% of the revenue (source: Seeking Alpha).
