Sales figures from Japan indicates that the Nintendo 3DS is poised to hit four million unit sold in that country alone by the end of the year, Destructoid reports. Sales of the machine took a notable jump with the price cut earlier this year, and the release of Monster Hunter Tri G has given it a further boost on Nintendos home turf, where it's currently moving around 300,000 units a week.
Latest numbers from Nikkei (not including sales from this week) puts the 3DS at 3.6 million units sold, so if sales keep up at the current rate, the device should comfortably reach 4 million by New Years.
