Esports keeps growing and growing, which is no secret considering the huge popularity of games like League of Legends and CS:GO, and if you still needed convincing, it has emerged via EsportsEarnings that 12 games have surpassed the $1 million USD mark for prize pools this year, with Dota 2 sitting atop this pile with a staggering $32 million awarded ($24.6 million of that was for The International alone).

Sitting behind Dota 2 is CS:GO with $10 million, then League of Legends with $5 million. Other games that have passed the mark, though, included Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Overwatch, Halo 5: Guardians, Smite, Quake Champions, and FIFA 17, so there's definitely a bit of a variety in there.

How many games can surpass the mark next year?

Dota 2
