No Rage in 2009

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Rage from id Software won't be ready for release this year. In an interview with Gametrailers id CEO Todd Hollenshead killed any hopes of the game releasing anytime soon. It has previously been stated that we won't see Rage, that uses the new engine id tech 5, until the last of the id tech 4 titles have been released and we are still waiting for Wolfenstein that is under development at Raven Software.

But Rage looks leaps and bounds beyond anything we have seen so far. Perhaps Rage will be ready sometime in 2010, it's hard to tell as id abide by the "when it's done" mantra.
