Square Enix has announced that in the two months since Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was officially released, more than 1.5 million players have registered. This total takes into account players from all regions (North America, Japan and Europe).
From next week players will be able to transfer their character to different worlds via the World Transfer Service, and in December the 2.1 patch will land, bringing with it the PvP battle arena, new dungeons, player housing and more.
It was also announced at the same time that the beta for the PlayStation 4 version of the game is due to start next year on February 22.
