Another piece of news from EA's latest financial call, this time regarding the exclusivity of Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall.

It has long been known that the title would be initially heading to Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, but speculation remained that it might only be a timed exclusive, and that a PlayStation version of the game might follow.

This has since been put to bed, with EA's Blake Jorgenson confirming that Titanfall would remain exclusive to Microsoft's current and next-gen platforms (and PC) "for the life of the title".

Respawn's Vince Zampella took to Twitter to express his apparent dismay at the agreement: "Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(".

Zampella has previously declared that his studio would be making games for the PS4 in future, but now it seems certain that Titanfall will never makes it way onto the platform. Good news for PS fans came when Zampella confirmed that "the life of the title" means just Titanfall, and all subsequent games in the series are not bound by the agreement made by EA.

A release date for Titanfall was recently announced, with European gamers set to get their hands on the shooter on March 14. More details on that here.
