Kotaku reports that EA have plenty of plans for the Dead Space franchise. According to Kotaku's sources EA is working on a first person Dead Space, and a Dead Space flight game. Meanwhile, Dead Space 3 has not been cancelled although it is said to be the last game featuring Isaac Clarke and that the series will change after that entry. Take it for what it is, rumours at this point.
"Lacking the pacing to make for a successful horror, and with combat mechanics not built for straight action, the game doesn't impress in either."
The narrative would be significantly different if Chris Beaver had the chance to remake the game.
We haven't seen the series since Dead Space 3 in 2013.
In celebration of Visceral Games' legacy?
Söderlund confirms Visceral could look at sci-fi franchise once more.
