Bethesda parent company ZeniMax's CEO Robert Altman has reported that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has shifted in excess of 3.5 million copies in 48 hours.
Seven million units of the RPG were sent out to retailers and over half of these were snapped up by fans within the first two days.
Of the figures Altman said: "Anticipation for Skyrim has surpassed any game in our company's history, and we are pleased that sales and reviews have reflected the quality and hours of amazing gameplay it provides."
We reckon they must be pretty pleased with themselves, and rightly so.
