63 year-old Ian Livingstone, one of the founders of Games Workshop, after selling Games Workshop in 1991, Livingstone invested in and became a board member of Domark. Domark was later (1995) picked up by Eidos, which in turn was picked up by SCi (2005) but the new entity retained the Eidos name. Then in 2009 Eidos was bought by Japanese publisher Square Enix and Ian Livingstone was promoted to "Life President of Eidos". In a post on their official website, Square Enix, announce Livingstone's departure:

"After an incredible career of over twenty years, Ian Livingstone has decided the time has come to leave our company. Ian is one of the original founding fathers of the UK games industry and is setting out on a new chapter to focus more time on the important projects he is working on outside of Square Enix."

Square Enix still leave the door open for Livingstone to be involved with future projects on some level, but formally he is no longer with the company.
