3rd place XBL debut for Battlefield
Late week entry misses top spot.
Microsoft's blog-man Major Nelson has posted up the Xbox Live Activity for the week of October 24th, and despite only releasing in the tail end of that period, Battlefield 3 has punched into the top three, only being beaten out by Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2.
While it may be a given that Battlefield 3 will shunt up to top spot once this week's ratings are totalled, the real test will come in the weeks to come: not only to see Modern Warfare 3's effect on EA's title, but also its effect on its predecessors. Black Ops and Modern Warfare have dominated the top ten since release - will a new COD consolidate all the franchise players?
On the Xbox Live Arcade front Dungeon Defenders is clocking in at the top spot, but its great to see Daytona USA - Sega's resurrection of the classic arcade racer, pulling in enough play to secure second.
