Allgamesbeta.com are reporting they've found evidence that Rockstar will allow for microtransactions in the soon to be launched GTA Online - the online component of Grand Theft Auto V.
According to an XML file on the Rockstar website it would seem you will be able to buy in-game cash with real money. Packs with $100,000, $200,000, $500,000 and $1.25 million appear to be in the works.
"Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character's bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting."
For now this is unconfirmed, but it certainly wouldn't be surprising if Rockstar wanted a revenue stream in the ambitious GTA Online.
