Beyond: Two Souls budget at £12.5 million

With the revelation of the mindboggling price tag on Grand Theft Auto V it would almost appear as if Beyond: Two Souls is some kind of bargain production at £12.5 million. Director David Cage revealed the number to French newspaper Le Figaro.

Compared to Heavy Rain the budget has increased by 25%, and likely a lot of the money has gone in to the performance capture technology that sees actors Ellen Page, Willem Dafoe and others faithfully recreated. With Sony having spent this much money the game needs to sell well to recoup the investment.
