British OXM, talked to DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson about what he wants for the next Xbox.

"Naturally, I would like to see a lot more hardware power. I started out as a level designer and an artist, so I shouldn't comment on the tech specs, but naturally we want a really powerful machine that we can do more with.", says Troedsson.

"There's a lot of juice left in the Xbox 360, but its successor needs to be a cut above. "The Xbox 360 and PS3 are still powerful machines, and we haven't seen the end of this console cycle, but when we do see the end of this cycle, we need a big step forward."

"I'm also very keen to see a much bigger focus on the whole online part. It would be really interesting to see a first party launch with full game downloads, not just arcade games but full-on triple-A blockbusters. It's all about connectivity. Nowadays we're going to play single player, you can still play single player by yourself, I think we're going to move away from this and we'll start to see all the different components of - not just shooters but games altogether, are coming online, and even though it's an offline mode you can still compete with people, uploading times and so on."

"Much as Facebook has invaded people's lives, it's something people do once or twice an hour or something like that, where as soon as they have a second free they check Facebook. I think we'll see the game experience go in that direction too.", he concludes.
