It was Saints Row IV that topped this week's official UK games charts, but as suspected the best selling game of the week (with digital sales included) was Total War: Rome II. MCV reports that Total War: Rome II sold 32,000 copies at retail, missing out on number on by only 200 copies, while digital sales in the UK reached a whopping 73,000 in the first week. Add it all together and with 105,000 you have one of the biggest launches of the year.
Evidence that future charts need to factor in digital sales and the problem isn't going to become any smaller in the future.
