Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed III: Liberation is to get an overhaul, and will be released on current-gen consoles as Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD.

We've already seen the title on PS Vita, but it will now be making its way on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 as a digital download release. Aveline's story will get a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music, new missions, and "a revamped gameplay experience."

There's a graphical comparison in one of the screens below, so you can see there's a marked difference between the original and HD versions of the game. Check out the latest screens and trailer below.
