Beta test to begin on February 22 and players who own the PS3 version won't have to pay for the PS4 game.

Square Enix have outlined their plans for bringing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn over to PlayStation 4. The beta testing for the PS4 version will begin on February 22 when PS4 launches in Japan. Square Enix also noted they are currently working hard to alleviate the pressure on game servers with the PC and PS3 versions of the game. One nice touch is that PS3 players will be able to continue playing on PS4 with the same character and account and without having to buy the game a second time.
