We met up with Egosoft's Bernd Lehahn at Gamescom to discuss the prospects of X Rebirth, the reboot of the X series that turns a lot of what we knew about the series on its head. The new means for travelling, the move to only allow players control of one ship and other changes may have caught some fans unaware, but Bernd does his best to explain why these choices were made and why his team felt the need to rebuild everything from scratch.
