Epic has announced that Gears of War 3 managed to sell in excess of three million copies worldwide when it was launched last week. Not only does it make it the fastest selling game of 2011, but it also amounts to more copies than what the two previous games in the series did combined in their first weeks on the market.
"Based on what we've played, you'll have plenty of players returning to the game to stick boots to asses for a final tour of duty."
