There's a new number one in this week's UK sales charts, with The Last of Us relinquishing its hold on the top spot. Naughty Dog's survival-horror epic couldn't make it seven weeks in a row, and his been pipped to the post by the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft after a 74% surge in sales saw the voxel-based game pass TLoU and hold off advances from debuting titles.
Pikmin 3 couldn't get passed Minecraft, but did manage to chart higher than The Last of Us, landing as it did in second. Animal Crossing: New Leaf remained in fourth, and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. stayed in the top five, meaning three of the five best selling games last week were Nintendo exclusives.
Another debut title, New Super Luigi U, landed in thirteenth, while the resurgent Max Payne 3 dropped out of the top ten, as did Dynasty Warriors 8.
