It sounds like Bioware is really taking a hard look at the dialogue system for Dragon Age: Inquisition, hoping to make it more challenging and entertaining for players.

Fans report on the PAX Australia panel on the official forums that there might be stat-based dialogue options introduced and that Bioware want to avoid the "pick red or blue choice for the win" as seen in Mass Effect. Just how this will play out is unknown, but the devs were also clear that they did not want to introduce random elements as that would only lead to people reloading their save upon a "bad" result.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is scheduled to arrive next year.
