Modern Warfare 3 DS detailed

Details have been revealed of Modern Warfare 3's outing on the Wii, as well as confirmation that a DS version will see the light of day.

Reported on from Activsion's Dan Amrich on his One of Swords blog, the Wii version is developed by Treyarch, with the plan to release the same day as the other formats, though that "is not confirmed yet," according to Amrich.

As confirmed by the developer on its Facebook page, n-Space is handling development duties of a DS version of the game, which will be it's fifth outing with the franchise on the handheld.

In response to questions over the lack of a 3DS version, the company replied:

"You guys all need to understand that we make the games we are hired to make. It is not our call to decide which platforms to support. Obviously we are big 3DS fans and supporters as we have 3 titles in development [one being Heroes of Ruin]. If it were as simple as us choosing what products and platforms to develop for I would get a lot more sleep."
