Indie phenomenon Minecraft has sold in excess of 3 million copies, and we are still a few months away from the full release of the game. Creator Markus "Notch" Persson wrote the following on Twitter:
"Minecraft just sold its third million copy!"
Meanwhile, Mojang are forging ahead with plans of Minecraft on Xbox 360 and phones (exclusivity deal signed with Sony's Xperia Play). They are also working on a new game called Scrolls, but apparently Notch picked up some unwanted legal attention with that title:
"Just got a letter from Bethesta's lawyers. They claim "Scrolls" infringes on their trademark and everyone will confuse it with Skyrim."
Oh well, it's a day to celebrate in spite of lawyers!
