Guild Wars to continue on

Even with sequel approaching release.

Guild Wars 2 is fast approaching release (hopefully), but that doesn't spell the end of days for Arenanet's loyal following of Guild Wars players. Global Brand Manager Chris Lye told Videogamer.com that there is no risk of a shut down of Guild Wars 1 operations anytime soon:

"The only incentive we need is to have an active player base. Guild Wars is a very cost effective game to support and because there is no active cost to maintain both a Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 account. We could see a lot of players keeping both."
