Red Faction: Armageddon

No more Red Factions

At least not in the immediate future.

There is some bad news for fans of THQ's Red Faction series. After launching Red Faction: Armageddon in June, sales just haven't been what THQ had hoped for, and CEO Brian Farrell had the following to say about the series in a conference call:

"We do not intend to carry forward with that franchise in any meaningful way."

This does not mean that the series has been buried for ever, but we're not likely to see another Red Faction anytime soon. The developers Volition are currently finishing up Saints Row: The Third, and are also working on the Guillermo del Toro collaboration Insane.
