Gears of War 3 will offer an online area that's catered for first timers to the series, Epic has stated.
Talking at a San Diego Comic Con panel, (reported on by US Today and picked up by MCV) the studio's Rod Fergusson and Cliff Bleszinki outlined the setup, which will only be available to those that haven't played the series or entered the Gears 3 beta before.
Rod stated the creation of a newcomer-friendly space in which to play Gears online was due to the fact that multiplayer "can be daunting to some players", with Cliff following up the comment by saying the newcomer-friendly area will be like "reverse VIP".
USA Today reports that the the area will include player additions, such aim-assist, to aid first-timers learn the ropes of the system.
