Two single-platform releases topped the charts this week, after The Last of Us and Animal Crossing: New Leaf finished first and second in the latest multi-format charts from GfK Chart-Track.

The Last of Us was Sony's first all-formats number one since Uncharted: Golden Abyss launched early last year, and was the third fastest selling game of the year so far (behind Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite). It's also the biggest launch for a new IP since L.A. Noire was released in 2011.

Were it not for such impressive figures, Animal Crossing: New Leaf would have likely have finished top, as it was the biggest 3DS launch since Mario Kart 7, and the biggest 3DS launch to date that didn't involve the word "Mario" in the title.

Grid 2 saw a 45% dip in sales, and therefore drops down to third, but Tomb Raider continues to prove popular and climbs back into fourth (price cuts undoubtedly helped in this regard). FIFA 13 takes up the last spot in the top five.

Last week's number 3, Remember Me, saw a considerable drop in sales, and barely stays in this week's top twenty, but Injustice: Gods Among Us is back in the top ten after some "competitive retailer pricing". Meanwhile, Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition debuted in twelfth.
