During the presentation for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag we were privy to a fancy new CGI trailer. It kicked off, appropriately, with a bar fight, before new character Edward Conway took to the high seas. The new assassin jumps between ships and engages in epic duels. The trailer finished up with a brutal finish involving an enemy officer's face and a hard spin of the ship's wheel.

Ubisoft's John Guesdon was there promising a "brutal pirate experience". Apparently to studio has researched why pirates are so popular, and that's because they lived their lives the way they wanted to. Personally I think it's the talking parrots.

We where then shown some in-game footage, bringing back that familiar Assassin's Creed action, albeit with a Caribbean twist. There's parkour, underwater scenes, plenty of swordplay and fisticuffs, and it wraps up with a ship sailing into the distance. Trailers to follow soon.
