Microsoft's E3 presentation kicked off today with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Two men sat on horseback, one of them being Snake, surveyed the Afghani landscape. Metal Gear Solid is going open world. We're promised a new breed of stealth.
Gameplay is fast forwarded, we see real-time weather, various modes of transport (we see a tank and a jeep), and of course we zoom in on some troops with a pair of high-powered binoculars. "Tactical espionage redefined" is one catchphrase, "unparalleled strategic freedom" is another. We see Snake stealthing through desert landscapes (leaning over while riding his horse so troops can't see him) and crawling through nighttime Afghani villiages before he rescues Kazuhira Miller. We then get a brief rundown of the cast of characters, including; Eli, Skull Face, Emmerich Ocelot, Code Talker. It's looks good, sandy, but good.
