It was previously announced as coming to Playstation 3, but now it seems as though Diablo III is coming to Xbox 360 as well.

The action-RPG from Blizzard is set to launch on consoles on September 3, with retailers set to take pre-orders from here on in (pre-orders will get an in-game item called the Infernal Helm, granting an XP boost when worn).

The console version of the PC title will be optimised for controller-driven gameplay, with a "dynamic camera perspective" and a new user interface. There'll be same-screen four-player co-op, as well as online modes.

"Playing Diablo III on a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we've made, it's extremely fun to play on PS3™ and Xbox 360," said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime.

He then added: "In addition to the fine-tuning we've done for the console versions, we're also including major content and design updates we've made to the PC version over the past year, so players can expect an epic Diablo gaming experience when the PS3™ and Xbox 360 versions launch in September."
