The announcement of Halo 4 will apparently take centre stage at Microsoft's E3 conference tonight, as someone on the company's official website Xbox.com accidentally made live the announcement early.
News sites have captured a single image before it was yanked offline, which shows a Spartan and an AI that looks a lot like Cortana, along with the single text line that reads: "The news millions of Halo fans have waited for: Halo 4 is on the way. But that's not all..."
The leak went further than that; apparently four other games appeared on the site as well. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition, Dance Central 2, Kinect Star Wars and Kinect Sports Season 2.
Looks like someone hit the "live" button too soon. Impressive bluff or has Microsoft's wad been blown early? Find out from 5pm as we start live-blogging the conference.
