Guild Wars, the eight year old fantasy MMO from ArenaNet, is to undergo some important changes in the coming weeks. The most notable being the switch to automated updates and tournament creation.
The game is to unmanned from here on in, with no new content being developed, apart from support for the their shift towards automation. As the blogpost reveals: "the Live Team will still be around to perform critical fixes for crashes or other serious issues," but apart from that the game will be set up to run on its own.
"With these changes, Guild Wars will be more streamlined and self-supporting than ever, traits that will enable the game to be enjoyed for years to come."
