Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released November 8 this year, according to a website report that claims to have been informed of the first gameplay details from various sources who have corroborated game modes, story and that all important release date.

Kotaku describes how the game continues directly from the cliffhanger ending of MW2, that left Soap and Captain Price in dire straights, as well as publishing key art supposedly leaked from the game.

From their reports, MW3 will apparently tout fifteen SP missions, that'll continue franchise tradition in jumping between multiple characters across the world, and support a mixture of new and old faces, including a SAS operative, and a Russian Federal Protective Services Agent. Vehicles, from gunships to tanks, will feature heavily.

The game will wrap up loose ends from the previous titles and introduce new characters who may carry the flag for the series for the future: Delta force operatives codenamed "Frost" and "Sandman" (a nod perhaps to MW2's masked hero of the hour 'Ghost'.)

Multiplayer will see the return of Spec Ops modes, which include 'Survival' and 'Mission' game types. MP maps will include Brooklyn.

While nothing has been officially confirmed by Activision yet, the hefty collection of game concept art and locale shots, combined with the info, could well be authentic, and leave us with the conclusion that the first details on one of the most hotly-anticipated have indeed escaped early.
