Rockstar's upcoming noir thriller L.A. Noire will get its own short story collection, the company has announced. Released together with Mulholland Books, the "L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories" will be available as an ebook on June 6, with select stories turning up "across various media outlets" before the game's release on May 17.

Authors included in the book include Megan Abbott, Lawrence Block, Joe Lansdale, Joyce Carol Oates, Francine Prose, Jonathan Santlofer, Duane Swierczynski and Andrew Vachss. You can get a taste of Megan Abbott's story "The Girl" on the L.A. Noire's official website right now.
