Speaking to New York Times, Blizzard's Jay Wilson said that they are on the final leg of finishing up Diablo III. "We're definitely in the home stretch," he said. "We're crunching. This is when the magic happens."
Of course, that doesn't really mean anything when it comes to actually putting a release date on the game. Blizzard's idea of "soon" can be a lot longer than for most other companies (and certainly for people), and a crunch can be followed by even more crunching after all. So don't go celebrating that we'll see the game this side of New Years Eve just yet.
