There are already a couple of films based on EA-games, like Dead Space or Dante's Inferno. Yesterday the company announced that they have teamed up with Japanese T.O. Entertainment and Funimation Entertainment to make an anime based on Mass Effect.

The film is supposed to explore the Mass Effect-universe in greater detail, but any more details about the story is unknown at this time. Fans of the series should be happy, if nothing else because this proves that Bioware are far from done with the license just because they plan to release the final chapter about Commander Shepard later this year.

Funimation Entertainment is also working on a Dragon Age-film.
