Fans who've been eagerly awaiting the launch of Relic's RTS Company of Heroes 2 will be delighted to hear that an early access beta is due to start on April 2, which should sate collective thirst until the full launch coming in June.
Players will have access to six maps, featuring 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 competitive gameplay, as well as single and co-op play against AI controlled forces. We'll be able to see the first 40 levels of progression, and we'll also be able to sample the new Army Customiser.
Pre-order customers will be invited to the first phase, but a second phase will launch at a later date, allowing more to get hands on with the Steam-based beta.
Relic's Quinn Duffy said "We've added two brand new maps to the roster for this phase as well as the four already in the Alpha Stress Test. Players can battle fiercely for control of the Oka River, or brave a close quarters skirmish on the outskirts of Moscow."
